Fig & Burrata Toast

When figs are this good, they need very little. Crisp toast, soft burrata, and a drizzle of honey. Lunch can be that simple.
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 5 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Servings: 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 Thick slices of sourdough
  • 4 oz Burrata
  • 4 Fresh figs, quartered
  • 1 tbsp Extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Toasted walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp Fresh thyme
  • Fine sea salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste

Method

  1. Toast the bread. Brush the bread with olive oil. Toast in a hot skillet for 2–3 minutes per side until deeply golden.
  2. Build the toast. Tear the burrata over the warm bread. Arrange the figs on top, leaving some of the cheese showing.
  3. Finish and serve. Drizzle with honey and any remaining olive oil. Scatter over the walnuts and thyme, season with salt and black pepper, and serve immediately.

Notes

Let the burrata sit out for 15–20 minutes before using so its center is soft and creamy.
